My Dyson Story:

My experience with Dyson began quite abruptly. I returned home from work to find a purple vacuum in the middle of my living room. As most husbands will do when confronted with something new in the home that looks like it cost more than a dinner out I went and found my wife. When I found out the vacuum cost $500 I wanted to return it. Immediately. You see we already have two expensive vacuums. One is a residential upright vacuum and the other is a commercial vacuum my wife and I bought to clean at night to make extra money for our new home. Since both cost around the same as the Dyson I thought this purchase was excessive. How much better could the Dyson be? Turns out a lot. My wife showed me how well it worked. Like an experienced salesperson she vacuumed one room with the other vacuums and then used the Dyson. The results were amazing. And scary. To think that our other vacuums missed so much dirt, dust and animal hair for all these years was alarming. With two cats and a dog that shed constantly, and a baby just starting to crawl, the Dyson was not going anywhere. Over the next few weeks I became amazed with not just how well it worked but how easy it was to use. A month later we were selling Dyson vacuums out of my parents' appliance stores to the great delight of our customers. We love selling the Dyson vacuum. It is a great product, with no hidden costs, backed by a great company.

P.S. We have had our DC07 over 2 years with no problems.  Works as good as the day we bought it!

P.S.S In March of 2006 I caved in and gave my wife the new DC15 Ball Vacuum.  It was either that or a commission on all the Dyson vacuums I sold.  The DC07 still worked perfectly and we sold it for $250 at a garage sale.

I researched the vacuum purchase over 3 months. I talked to my buddy Wesley and he has a $500 canister vacuum. He said it was the greatest Vacuum he ever had, but I could not get the first vacuum I ever owned out of my head, it was a Fantom Fury. It was awesome, but pricy, no bags to buy, belts where $25 and the Hepa filter was $75. And I was replacing them about every 6 months. When I talked to Wesley's brother he told me about a new vacuum he had at his house and that it was made in England. I bought it, my wife laughed at me when I was vacuuming with my lime green and purple Dyson… I raved about it so much that Wesley bought the canister, and he even agreed that it was better than his canister. Dyson DC14 Animal Review

Never thought I would want a vacuum for a birthday present but after seeing a Dyson at a friend's house I decided to go for it. With a son that has allergies I figured it was a good idea to purchase the best vacuum possible. I did what the other reviewer did and vacuumed with my old vacuum first and wow, what a difference. Even after using the old vacuum this vacuum (Dyson) still pulls tons of stuff out of the carpet. Don't know if this will help my son but I feel better just knowing that this vacuum works properly.
